Who Are We?
Entomology refers to the study of insects; people who are interested in insects are called entomologists. Why are people interested in insects? Insects are the dominant group of organisms on the earth today; they are almost everywhere. It should be noted that most insects are beneficial, only a small number of species are harmful. Insects are important for pollinating many crops, producing honey and silk, controlling many harmful plants and other insects, serving as food for other animals and are scavengers and decomposers... above all, insects are beautiful and fascinating.
