ESC-ESS JAM 2023 Call for Submitted Papers & Posters
Presenters must submit titles and abstracts online HERE. Please have the title, abstract (150 words) and list of authors/affiliations ready before beginning the online submission process. On the registration page, presenters will be asked to identify keywords and the type of paper they are submitting. Presentations may be in oral or poster format, and may be given in either official language.
Titles, abstracts, and other information for presentations that will be included in the four Symposia can be submitted online or submitted to the appropriate Symposia organizers. However, all conference attendees must register online.
The Submission deadline for Papers & Posters is August 25, 2023.
Graduate students are invited to present their research at the 2023 Graduate Student Showcase (GSS). The purpose of the GSS is to provide a high profile opportunity for graduate students near the completion of their degrees to present a more in depth overview of their thesis research. Graduate students who wish to be considered for the GSS will submit their abstracts HERE and select “Graduate Student Showcase” from the drop-down menu of presentation types. To be considered for the GSS, students must submit additional information to the ESC Student & Early Career Affairs Committee. Click here for full GSS application information. The deadline for submission to the GSS is August 25, 2023. Presentations not selected for the GSS will be included in the President’s Prize competition.
Students may choose to submit presentations to compete for a President's Prize. These prizes are awarded to the best oral and poster presentations at the ESC-ESS JAM 2023.
To be eligible for the President’s Prize, a presenter must:
- Be enrolled in a degree program or have graduated from the program within the previous six months.
- Be registered at the meeting.
- Be the principal investigator and principal author of the paper.
Oral Presentations (Regular & President’s Prize) will be 12 minutes in length plus 3 minutes for questions and discussion. Instructions for uploading or downloading presentations will be provided closer to the meeting date. Please format file names as: First Name_Last Name_Presentation Title
Poster Presentations (Regular & President’s Prize) are limited to maximum dimensions of 1.2 m x 1.2 m (4 ft width x 4 ft height). ESS will supply poster pins/Velcro.
